Who we are

Chris Butler - Managing Director

Chris’s passion is innovation and product development. He is the MD of the Ennell Group of companies, of which Cronapress is one.

Chris bought Cronapress in 1991 from the original owners and has since been the driving force and developer behind Cronapress’s new products.

Chris’s idea of heaven is being able to invent new products with new applications to keep people safe.

His driving force comes from personal experience of meeting police officers, doctors and nursing staff who need the assurance of help being a touch away.

Peter Tenent – Production Manager

Peter is another engineer by trade and is instrumental in the production of all our products.

He works tirelessly to maintain the quality and smooth production of Cronapress.

History

Cronapress original was developed in the 1940’s in Kendal for use in buses and other public transport.

The company was bought by its current owners in 1991 and relocated to Guiseley in 1994, just outside Leeds in West Yorkshire.

Since then an ongoing programme of product development and improvement means that Cronapress’ products have extended into a number of other applications and has now become the market leader in the affray alarm market.The strip is used extensively in the police and custody sector.
